Bonded by decades of delicious family feasts, we have created this cookbook as a second edition to “Cooking with the Haas’ “, alternatively named “What’s for Dessert?!” We are two families who have shared many wonderful meals. From Fourth of July cookouts at Anne’s to Sunday night dinners at Maureen’s, there has been much laughter, joy, and always the highlight: desserts.
In celebration of Christmas 2008, we ask that family members submit 6 recipes that are tried and true. You can submit more if you like. A note as to where you got the recipes would be great, but not necessary.

Recipes are due November 15th for the printed version. If you have a recipe in the cookbook, you will be guaranteed a copy!
The first edition of this cookbook was dedicated to Anne Haas. I think it is only natural for the second edition to be dedicated to Maureen Haas. For decades of Sunday’s, she has hosted “Sunday Dinner”. We have enjoyed gathering together around some quite extraordinary meals. There have been a great number of wonderful guests and always interesting conversation. Throughout these years, Maureen has always invited us into her home with loving arms and provided a wonderful meal always followed by the ever important, Dessert! As was written in the first edition, “Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.”
